When disasters strike, HARDA provides various humanitarian assistance such as food donations, clothing, tents, medicine among others
HARDA is non-profit making organization that depends on both local and international donors to be able to carry out its intended programs and indeed to support the vulnerable communities. To raise the required resources, HARDA will undertake a problem-scoping assessment that not only informs but also forms the basis for project funding proposals to be submitted to the relevant donors and partners for effective interventions. HARDA, through its predecessor ESPC had been in partnership with Pact Kenya Peace II Program, Development Alternative Inc. TIS Program, American Friends Service Committee, Zakat Foundation, SOYDEN and BORDERS II in implementing Peace dividend projects as well as community mobilization, rapid response and Udh-hiya Program. ESPC successfully implemented SHIIR /CMM program funded by USAID through PACT.
HARDA is an active member of a number of local and regional forums and networks for the purpose of coordination and sharing and learning. At local level, HARDA is an active member of the County Steering Group (CSG) and Mandera County Civil Society Organization Network (MACCSONET). HARDA has recently applied to join membership of various national and international organization including the Global Network for Disaster Risk Reduction (GNDR).
